My Story
Hi, I’m Courtney Johnson, author, content creator, and personal brand educator based in Austin, Texas.
I help people overcome the fear of being seen online and build personal brands that actually feel like them. I’m the creator of the viral series “Problematic Career Cheat Codes” and the upcoming book Career Cheat Codes, which will be published by Penguin Random House in April.
Over the past few years, I’ve built a community of more than 500,000 people across social media who share my obsession with creativity, confidence, and career growth. I’ve worked with tech founders, executives, and major brands to help them communicate with clarity and personality, and to stop sounding like robots on the internet.
Before all this, I graduated from Texas Christian University with a degree in Strategic Communication and even spent time as a professional cheerleader. You might have seen me on CMT’s “Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team”, a wild and transformative chapter that taught me more about resilience and reinvention than any business course ever could.
These days, you can usually find me creating content from my not-so-ordinary home in Austin (yes, the one only accessible by tram), leading live branding cohorts, or teaching creators and entrepreneurs how to find their voice online.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this: building your personal brand isn’t about chasing trends. It’s about owning your story, your quirks, and your “cringe” moments, because that’s what makes people connect with you.
Welcome to my corner of the internet. Let’s make your brand impossible to ignore.
